Level 1 Screen
Although the design of the screens is the same for all levels, the content is different. The words and/or how they are used become progressively more complex at each succeeding level. Level 1 includes 520 single syllable words which were selected to give practice to all the sounds. Notice the panel at the top of this screen. It shows the combination of letters and diacritics that represent various sounds. There are some sounds where the letter represents itself. You will see those on the next screen. Other features of the screens will be taken up as you proceed through this segment of the website.
